Michelle S. Nailed it. Even worse, my own PRIVATE communications as a long time and current Nextdoor Lead was sent to a disruptive member by Gordon Strause, Nextdoor’s Director of Neighborhood Operations. So much for the bull crap "Privacy" policy. Nextdoor is about one thing and only one thing: recruiting membership for it's flat, unappealing and old-school message board right out of the 1980's at all costs. Well, with millions in OPM (Other People's Money) for advertising a lie that is. "Shysters" is probably too kind a word to describe this San Francisco based crew. 90% of what we do with our officers who cannot join in the area they patrol is done behind the scenes with crime victims and GOOD member who really want to see solutions not dribble or hype. You don't see Nextoor here refuting anything, right?

It will stop when nextdoor.com goes bye bye. The site is so poorly run it will not last.

Also, beware of Nextdoor minions giving you false information on this thread... I am seeing a few of them already.

Nextdoor.com staff don't know head from their tail -- they are smart enough to play dumb and their "we are sweet" campaign is just hype to promote their site.

Deactivation was necessary. Nextdoor did NOTHING.

Nextdoor.com offers a very responsive email help function to address problems as You have described. However, as a Lead, if someone made the post as You have done above, I would immediately remove Your post as abusive.
Nextdoor does not condone name calling or holding individual up to public ridicule.
When a Members see an abusive post, please take the time to report it directly to Nextdoor.com through their help function. Be specific with Members name and time/date of the post. They will then be able to track down the post and make a determination if it is in violation of the ND policies.
Repeat this same information for each NEW abusive post. Nextdoor is staffed with people just like You and I, help them help us. Wild claims like "joe blow is abusive" does not get much traction but "joe blow, on this date/time said this about me or someone else" will typical draw a quick response, once reported via the Nextdoor Help Email system. Each Help request, properly submitted, will have a confirmation email sent allowing You to follow up later if the abuse continues.

Nextdoor.com is a Growing community system highly beneficial to our Neighborhoods. The Main Newsfeed is NOT a corner Soap Box for Members to force their opinions down others throats.

Being Neighborly is a primary requirement.

J. P., I'm not sure why you posted here on SiteJabber. But you need to take your plea to Nextdoor.com. Please do! Randy J. Has things spelled out pretty well. You could just copy what you've written, go to Nextdoor. Help and paste it there.

Nextdoor will go bye bye as soon as Facebook, Google Plus, and other Social Media does. My neighborhood has found Nextdoor very helpful. I'm sorry you are experiencing problems, but it is up to the leads to set the tone of what is acceptable behavior. Nextdoor Guidelines state that people are to act neighborly. If you aren't happy, file a complaint with Nextdoor. If they don't do anything, then deactivate your account.
