Please answer me as I'm trying to cancel my 3 day subscription, but it won't let me. If I get charged I'm calling the Florida attorney General. And I will be denying the charge on my credit card... Thank you, Gilbert Coan

I have reported this to my credit card company and they continue to pay Mate1 for service I did not request. How does a dating service get $49.95 per month when all you requested was a 3 day trial for $1.98. I am going to either cancel my card or my Credit union.

I agree with Janet that the best way to ensure you are not henceforth charged unnecessarily is to get your card blocked by submitting a written application to your bank stating the reason for the request & I am sure they would oblige. In case you are not willing to reveal your reason for cancellation, you can simply report for accidental loss of card due to misplacing & as a precautionary & security measure the bank is bound to block you card and issue a new one in lieu of it. All the best Gilbert & wish you luck in finding that special someone soon for whom you had ventured into chartered territory & I am sure when you do get to meet that special someone these small irritants would definitely be a thing of the past. Cheers. Swayambhu.

From eperiance from doing that with another web site, i just went in my bank an asked to cancel my card as didnt want money going out. Bit of a hassel as no card for a week, but better than lossing your hard earnt pay. Back in the day when i joined it was free for women. Hope that may help you
