Groupon
Questions & Answers
I'm looking into buying a gold chain for my boyfriend. Reading the reviews, I noticed groupons isn't great for services or vacations. Its a solid gold chain for about 80 bucks. Can somebody tell me if this purchase is yay or nay. I do not want to waste money

Never buy gold, diamonds, or jewelry unless you can see it in person. That should be your new motto.

Don't do it. My experience has been a nightmare with too many undelivered items. They won't give a refund only issuing Groupon Bucks to lock you in to purchasing from them again.

Right on Anastasia C!
Thailand is best for almost 24 ct gold chain. Face to face at one of the many Gold shops.

I'm not sure anyone makes such an item. It could be a gold overlay but usually that is stated in the ad. If you find any thing in Gold it would not be a solid gold which is a soft metal. Good Luck in finding a suitable chain for your boyfriend.

You really need to read all of the fine print. I personally have never had an issue with Groupon but I do know that if you don't read the fine print you can easily get misled.

I have only ordered recreational events and they were always discounted and was always able to use them without any problem. Also in 2 of the events I purchased the business were closed on the dates I was traveling and both times groupon gave me a refund.

Be sure to check the details for size, weight, etc. I ordered earrings which looked big on the ad. When I received them, they were quite small. The price was right, but I definitely should have read all the details. Shipment took a while.

I wouldn't buy anything off of groupon unless the seller has a local store front location that you can visit. If the necklace is fake, at least you know where to go to get your money back.
