I can only speculate, based on my experience, that DHGate is not relying on repeat customers. As long as they are raking in enough cash, their racket will continue. With 3 billion web users in the world

A small fraction as one-off customers will suit DHGate just fine.

My order was delivered on time, but the item was not legitimate~it was counterfeit~ and since it was a medical item, this was a serious misrepresentation. Their is no record of the transaction on their website, but they keep asking for the transaction number before they will issue a refund~ just stay away or report them to the FTC.

Maria... many of these host sites consist of individual internet stores which are not necessarily reliable. There are some good ones but not all of them are. I ALWAYS suggest checking out the individual seller. It's not the host site it's the online store. Take a moment to read the reviews and check out the individual seller. It will result in a much more positive experience. I've ordered many things from sellers in China without any issues. Good luck.

The answer is obvious That many disgruntled customers.
Although it takes three months to get your money back. You do get it back if you don't give up. We have bought many items from dhgate and mostly it was all good. Only if there is a problem do you have pain.

Maria, they are Chinese, therefore we are second class citizens. In that culture, it is an accepted part of business to cheat all Americans, at all times and under all circumstances. If everyone on this site had filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, and followed up with addendums everytime DHGate didn't deliver what was promised, DHGate would no longer exist. Once I made it clear I wouldn't wait to file complaints, the Chinese criminals at DHGate SUDDENLY had my product at my door waiting for my signature. If everyone posting here had used the FTC, DHGate would no longer hold billions of US dollars in trust accounts. Please remember we are part of the wealthiest country in the world, use the tools we are given to stop this "lying thief". Henry

Like the other users have mentioned they don't care about repeat customers they want to take what they can and kick you to the curb. They have no reputable sellers they have already working on a new site that they are claiming to have more reputable sellers but it's is all the same crap. I think the name of that site is dhport. I have suffered loses in the thousands dealing with cell phone repair parts in about two months w bad parts that the sellers will not take back. They want you to verify through video each part is defective which is very tiresome because you can to manually connect
Each part take a video and then upload it to Dropbox since their system will not allow video. Screw them!

Because they don't deliver their packages within a reasonable time, they don't warn you that they are not going to deliver your packages within a reasonable time, they make it impossible to return packages (for example, they wanted me to ship mine to a new buyer in the US instead of returning it to China because supposedly the taxes involved in shipping it back to China are too high). Plus, they don't communicate intelligibly in English.

Most of them are self-explanatory: wrong product sent, or no product sent; extreme and time-consuming difficulty in returning something that doesn't work; misleading text/photos of the products; terrible customer service.
