I asked myself the same thing before signing up. After using app, I think most of those reviews come from people who didn't realize it's credit-based, not a flat subscription.

The fake profile complaints are real, but they're not unique to DateMyAge. Tinder, Match, and every other major platform deals with the same thing. What matters is how fast they get removed. I've reported a few suspicious profiles and they were gone within a day or two. That's not how a scam operates.
