Care.com
Questions & Answers
I have received to emails suggesting that a family is looking at our center for child care. I understand that you charge to access that info... but how do I know if the emails are even legitimate? I don't have money to waste. It could simply be a ploy to get me to upgrade my service.

90% of the offers I received were bogus. I cont. To get the same text messages every few months from the same ppl offering outrageous wages for practically doing nothing. Tread carefully with this site. As for me, I don't want anything to do with it.

Don't waste your time & money. Put a professional, well-written ad on Craigslist and that won't cost you a penny. If you have clients who'll give you refs put that in the ad.

I'm just an end user who signed up for care.com and I would have to say that the bulk of what you see is legitimate. What I don't' appreciate and would warn you about is there billing practices. They offered me a discount if I joined so I wanted to try it out for 3 month. Unfortunately I was switched to monthly billing and then they refused to correct it. If I were you I would think twice before signing up.

I'm very surprised to see all the negative experiences and comments here. My husband and I have used the site for a couple of years to find caregivers for him, and all the responses were legit, we actually have hired 4 different people from this website and all have been quite good caregivers. We've had some responses from agencies trying to get us to use their services, which we just don't respond to. And we've never had any issues with billing. Overall I'd give care.com a thumbs up.
