I find AliExpress delivery time quite reasonable "IF" you pay for upgraded shipping, which usually costs a few $'s extra. If you select "free shipping" (which isn't really free by the way, they just increase the price on the item to cover the cost) expect 6 to 10 weeks delivery time. It doesn't help that your own countries postal service will back bench delivery of your purchase putting priority and higher paid postage, ahead of your free shipped package. This potentially adds a few more weeks, before your package is delivered.

With upgraded shipping, I find I get my item in 2 to 4 weeks. You can select what shipping and carrier you want to pay for before adding item to cart. It will tell you the expected receive times with each carrier.

Make no mistake, this isn't Amazon 1 day delivery. That being said, significant saving are to be had when buying on Ali and waiting out the delivery times.

To get real time took and see where the hold ups are, use a 3rd party tracking site like Track17. Their information is much more detailed than Ali. There you can see things like, if customs held your package for 2 weeks before releasing it.
