I start college in less than two weeks and every book I've ordered from this website is supposed to come in before I start school. If it doesn't I'm not only going to be behind in my school work but very upset for trusting this company. Can I count on AbeBooks to deliver my books to me on time? -Allysia

I hope you received your books in time for class. My son ordered his the first week of Aug. And he started school 2 weeks ago and received only 1 book out of the 7 he ordered. He is having a difficult time trying to keep up.

"Trust" and "Abe Books" do not go hand in hand, based on my experience...

Vendors in the U.S. will probably deliver more quickly than vendors outside the country. Choose vendors whose ratings are 4 to 5 stars. Most books I have ordered via AbeBooks arrive within a week. It shouldn't take much longer than that.

Two suggestions: 1) always try to see where the company is, I buy only when there is a U.S. address 2) The books usually take 3-4 weeks to arrive (unless you are outside the U.S., that take longer). So, plan way in advance to buy the books. For example, I order books now, and they are supposed to arrive on September 8th.
The books will arrive, just take time since they come from India or China.
